Meeting called to order by Joel Munson at 7:15 pm

 

Dave Norton provided the slideshow presentation to go along with the meeting.

 

Sandy Chapin read the Secretary’s report. Barb Hendrickson made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Gene Hadden seconded it and they were accepted unanimously.

 

Barb Hendrickson read the Treasurer’s report. Joel Munson made a motion to accept the minutes as read and Mark Rhodes seconded it and they were accepted unanimously.

 

Joel reviewed the club events schedule and discussed the current NY State Snowmobile Registration numbers. The state predicted about 80,000 registration and has about 124,000 to date.

 

Mark Rhodes discussed the success of the two club rides, one to The Silo and the other to the Coventry Fire House for breakfast.

 

The five-year plan was introduced to the club.

 

Mark Rhodes reviewed the current trail system as well as the proposed trails for the next three years, (trail to North Afton, trail to Chenango Forks, trail to PA, completion of the north loop, and one to Red Barrel and Santaria Springs Hess Mart)

 

Dave Norton reviewed the financial end of club; money in (grant money, membership, fund raising), Money out (Materials, gas and oil for grooming, fund raising party, signs, etc…) Where we are today and where we want to be in 5 years.

 

Gary Smith discussed our current grooming equipment and the need to purchase Class B equipment.

 

Two plans were discussed for purchasing used grooming equipment

  1. Purchase another skandic, a utility sled and build 2 drags for around $10,000 or
  2. Purchase larger grooming equipment (groomers and drags) for around $15,000

 

Joel opened the floor for discussion.

 

A vote was taken and the second proposal passed unanimously.


Joel thanked everyone for attending.

 

The 50/50 was won by Joel Munson and was donated back to the club.
