General Meeting  January 8, 2007

Meeting Called to order by Joel Munson at 7:10 pm

 

Joel introduced the Board of Directors

 

Sandy Chapin read the minutes of the December meeting, Bryan LaClair made a motion to accept the minutes as read, Barb Hendrickson second them and they carried unanimously.

 

Barb Hendrickson read the treasurers report and gave and update to the current number of members 157. Ron Knox made a motion to accept the report as read Bob Blakesley seconded them and they were accepted unanimously.

 

Joel reviewed the club schedule

 

Mark Rhodes gave a trail report of the east side – Green Bridge was rescued and put back in place, cleared downed trees and signing has been done. He thanked Jeff Bronson for bulldozing the Rusty Weist section.

 

Brian LaClair gave a trail report of the west side – Bridge update, still working on signing, talked about another groomer worth about $1,500, 89’ Polaris

 

Joel reviewed the status of the Alpine groomer.

 

Joel reviewed the clubs calendar of events.

 

Gary Hendrickson gave a report on Supplies and equipment – most all supplies are used up and any donations are greatly appreciated.

 

Fund Raiser Review by Joel and Sandy, explained state raffle tickets, logo merchandise and maps and website ads.

 

New Business that was discussed:

  • State snowmobile registration is projected at 67,000 so far 52,000 registered.
  • Whitney Point Club got a $100,000 grant to purchase a new groomer.
  • Need to look at the forum for April and select people to go - $150.00 per person – based on the number of members to get number of votes at the forum
  • Snow Blast in Chenango county still need workers to sign up
  • Barb wanted to know if there were any other outstanding debts that have not been turned in.
  • Mileage will be paid at $200.00 a mile for grooming and maintenance as apposed to $325.00 last year.
  • Alpine clutch is bad and having difficulty replacing it
  • Meeting posters to be display in about 10 local business
  • Mike Blanche mentioned that the NYSSA site is now handling online applications.
  • D & H railway update – Jim Verboy is meeting with DOT to discuss a way to go thru St RT 17 on January 8th
  • Discussed the possibility of using the Chenango Railbed to get from Chenango Forks to Greene
  • Hess in Santaira Springs has donated a $50.00 gas card for use in the west side groomer.

 

Winner of the 50/50 drawing was Kevin Beckstead $24.00
