General Membership Meeting BC Sno- Riders Hitchin Post April 3rd, 2006 Meeting brought to order at 7:10 pm Reviewed the Board of Directors meeting minutes from March 20th, 2006 Larry found storage trailers for $600.00 and stated that he didn’t think they were worth it. Mike could not get in touch with Keith Hogancamp to get price on his trailer. No decision was made on storage trailer for equipment. Further investigation is needed. Mike Rhodes and Brian LaClair will pick up groomers and store them at their residence. We will hold off on purchasing any new/used equipment. Everyone to keep eyes open for good price on sled. Update on the Chenango Forks trail extension: 8 people walked the area on March 26th- discussed options for the trail. Rick stated that it is possible to go thru Chenango Shores we just need to get permission from State, Rail Road and landowners to cross at a private railroad crossing. Dick Knapp to find out how we get permission to ride thru State Park at forum. Gary getting number for someone at Parks. Need to try to avoid Judge Ray’s property. John Gallow is a disgruntled ex-member. We need to try to talk to disgruntled ex-members to bring them back into our club. Possibly bring back local trails (unfunded trails). Need to increase membership in the Chenango Forks area. We will be meeting every month throughout the summer. Brian worked on Alpine the problems were not that severe and will work well as a support vehicle. Last meeting discussed option of a chain saw wench they are $600.00 we voted not to by one at this time.
Are there any people in Triangle to meet us with the trail. It was stated that there wasn’t any so we needed to just get to 206. Danielle updated us on the screen printing – from Team World she can get preshrunk shirts $35.00 setup fee and small to XL 6.00 and XXl for 10.01 12-71 pieces takes 2 week turn around. Voted to do 20 gray T-shirts 5 in each size. All were in favor. Chris talked about the benefits of doing a Golf Tournament. Majority of the money made comes from sponsorship of the holes and donations for golf balls and tees. Suggested amount per hole was $50.00 – Draw back of tournament was the price to the golfers. At $55 to 60 each may be tough to fill. Things to consider were · Sponsorship per hole · Signs per hole and cost · Prizes · Food after tournament Belden Hill Golf course would let us put it on there for $32.00 a golfer. Chris will only help if the 19th hole is held at the Hitchin Post. Belden Hill requires a $500.00 non-refundable deposit to hold tournament. Voted to hold off on tournament until next meeting. All in favor Larry updated us on the Super Celebration. It should have 2000 to 3000 people attending. Tax Exempt we need to get 8-10 more items together before it can be accomplished All trail bosses need to get trail signs off landowner’s property, get an idea of how many more signs they will need for 2006-2007, inspect their trails, let the club know what projects they are going to do for 2006-2007 with a materials list and any equipment work that needs to be done. Joel would like to set the 2006-2007 budget based on figures from 2005-2006. There was not a 50/50 raffle this month. Two new officers were elected – Gary Smith for Board of Directors and Sandy Chapin as Secretary. Next Board of Director’s meeting is to be held on April 17th, 2006 at the Hitchin Post.
